Sugar is in charge of the production of insulin and glucagon, the two hormones that regulate your body’s blood sugar.

She also produces pancreatic juice, which helps digest proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

The group of cells in the pancreas that regulate the production of insulin are known as the Islands of Langerhans.
